Winners:

1st Place: Declan W - "They say that people can sense when they are being watched. It's clear to me that you don't have that sense."

2nd Place: Three-Way Tie Between Savannah A., Evan and Anna

• Savannah A: "I was practicing rock, paper, scissors against myself in the bathroom. That was until the mirror won."
• Evan V: "I woke up to the sound of someone singing my baby to sleep on the baby monitor. I rolled over to see my wife sleeping next to me."
• Anna R: "I was walking in the dimmed hallway past room 1313 when I spotted 13 seventh grade students celebrating Halloween. I asked Ms. Corron when will our grade have a Halloween party like the class in room 1313; she gasped, "There is no room 1313 in the school!"

Honorable Mentions:

Gabby C: "I was going to say goodnight to my son, and he said "Goodby." I said "son, we usually say goodnight" and he said back, "I knkow but tonight is goodbye."

Emmett K: "Summer is over. School is back."

Shannon F: "T'was the night of Halloween, and all through the town, every creature was stirring, except for the clown. For what he did might give you a scare, what he did might just raise your hair, and you may go outside... if you dare."

Sean V: "There's nothing like the laughter of a baby. Unless it's 1 AM and you're home alone."

Johnny S: "The girl was baby sitting, and the only rule she had to follow is not to touch anything. She called the parents to ask them if you can move the clown statue and they said they don't have a clown statue."

Abigail B: "I found a Polaroid picture on my kitchen table of my dog before he went missing. I don't own a Polaroid."

Zach P: "I was hungry so I ordered pizza. The pizza came with no deliverer, but one note; it read 'RUN!'"

Mayah K: "When you're checking your bedroom for monsters you can look left, right, and under your bed. Whatever you do, never look up; it hates being seen."
